Superb

This is a well deserved tribute to Anquetil. There are some terrific biographies written about him over the years but this one brings something unique - the interviews with those that knew him best. Together with brilliant photographs, and a narrative that brings to life what an epic rider Anquetil was, you won’t be disappointed with this book.

Retro Fest!

his book is a real retro fest with quality reproduced superb images of Anquetil, clearly showing his bikes. Further images and back ground on the houses he lived in are included. I would advise no hesitation over the £20 price, its near enough the same price as the The Driller, a worthy Addy biography but not in the same quality league. I my view one of the best ever cycling books and I should know, I've read most of them.

Highly recommended

It’s astonishing the amount of factual detail that Chris puts into his books. This is the latest in an unmissable series of books. I cannot recommend them highly enough. A must for any cycling fan. You won’t find this level of detail presented in such an easily readable style anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Fantastic book! Cycling history brought to life.

This is a beautiful book, and fascinating from the first to the last page. Pictures I’d never seen, and amazing interviews from those who were there. Jacques was the first to win the Tour five times - this is a perfect introduction to one of the all time greatest riders!
